When you voluntarily retire, you may lose the right to claim disability benefits and wage loss compensation for common “wear and tear” injures to your neck, back, shoulders and hips.

To qualify for benefits, you must show actual lost wages. By voluntarily retiring, that becomes less likely, and you may be hurting your chances to file a simple claim that could make your retirement more comfortable.
